Tenders for Inland Mail-service Contracts—North Island, 1925-27; South Island, 1925-28.
General Post Office, Wellington, 23rd July, 1924.
SEALED tenders will be received at the several Chief Post-offices in the Dominion until noon on Thursday, the 4th September, 1924, for the conveyance of mails between the undermentioned places, for a period of THREE YEARS in respect of services in the North Island, and FOUR YEARS in respect of services in the South Island, from the 1st January, 1925:
POSTAL DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.
- Ahuroa and Puhoi, thrice weekly.
- Albany and Redvale, twice weekly.
- Auckland, Bayswater, and Takapuna, daily to and from Bayswater; thrice daily from and twice daily to Takapuna.
- Auckland, Tryphena, Okupu, Whangapara, Okonga, Port Fitzroy, and Motairehe, fortnightly to Motairehe; weekly to other places.
- Auckland, Whangaroa, and Mangonui (one way), weekly. (Alternative to Nos. 6, 38, 93, 95, 112A, and 112B.)
- Auckland and Mangonui (one way), weekly. (Alternative to Nos. 5 and 38.)
- Auckland, Panmure, Pakuranga, and Howick, twice daily. (Alternative to No. 23.)
- (a.) Awanui and Kaingaroa, thrice weekly.
(b.) Kaingaroa and Lake Ohia, weekly. - Awanui, Junction Waiharara Road, Pukenui, and Houhora fortnightly.
- Awanui Landing, Awanui, and Kaitaia, weekly. (Alternative to No. 51.)
- Awhitu Wharf, Awhitu, and Awhitu Central, four times weekly.
- (a.) Birkenhead, Glenfield, and Albany (part rural delivery along main road), daily.
(b.) Albany, Junction Fernielea Road and Dairy Flat (part rural delivery along main road), thrice weekly. - Bradley’s Landing and near Sill’s Landing (rural delivery along main road), thrice weekly.
- Clevedon, Ness Valley, and Moumoukai (rural delivery along Moumoukai Road to Phillip’s), thrice weekly.
- Coromandel, Amodeo Bay, and Colville, weekly.
- Coromandel Wharf and Post-office, as required.
- Coromandel and Whitianga, weekly.
- Dargaville steamers, Railway-station and Post-office, as required.
- Dargaville, Mangawhare, Bradley’s Landing, Aratapu, Miti tai, Te Kopuru, Tokatoka, Naumai, Tikinui, Raupo, and Ruawai, daily.
- Dargaville, Tangowahine, Hoanga South Wharf, Pukehuia, Kirikopuni, and Tangiteroria, thrice weekly.
- Donnelly’s Crossing, Tutamoe, and Waimatenui, twice weekly.
- Drury, Runciman, Ramarama, and Bombay, twice daily.
- Ellerslie, Panmure, Pakuranga, and Howick, twice daily. (Alternative to No. 7.)
- Glenmurray, Kaawa, and Woodleigh, twice weekly. (Alternative to No. 133.)
- Helensville and Parakai, twice daily to Parakai, except Thursdays, when one trip only; daily from Parakai.
- Helensville, Pouto, Tangaihi, Ruawai, Raupo, Tikinui, Naumai, Tokatoka, Te Kopuru, Miti tai, Aratapu, and Dargaville, weekly to Pouto; twice weekly to Tangaihi and Tikinui; five times weekly to other places.
- Hikurangi, Helena Bay, and Whangaru u, twice weekly lst September to 3lst May; weekly lst June to 3lst August.
- Hikurangi, Marua, and Whananaki, twice weekly.
- Hikurangi, Otonga, and Opuawhanga, twice weekly.
- Horeke, Kohukohu, Motukaraka, Rawene, Koutu, Rangi Point, Opononi, and Omapere, thrice weekly.
- Hoteo Railway-station, Post-office, Tauhoa, and Whare hine, thrice weekly.
- (a.) Houhora-Pukenui Landing, Pukenui, and Houhora, fortnightly.
(b.) Houhora, Waihopo, Ngataki, Te Kao, Parenga, and Te Hapua (including carriage between steamer and post-office at Parenga and Te Hapua), weekly. (Alternative to No. 33.)
