Opening Land in the Taranaki Land District for Sale or Selection.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Eltham County.—Omona Survey District.

SECTION 4, Block XVI: Area, 690 acres 0 roods 24 perches. Capital value, £604 3s. 9d. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £15 2s. 1d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £12 1s. 8d.

Weighted with £250, valuation for improvements, comprising felling and grassing 90 acres, 20 chains of fencing, old whare. This amount can either be paid in cash or taken over by way of mortgage to the Superintendent, State Advances Department.

Situated on the Lower Moeawatea Road at the junction of Rawhitiroa Road, about four miles from Moeroa Post-office. Access is from Eltham Railway-station, about thirty-four miles distant, twenty-two miles metalled road and the balance formed dray-road. Section comprises fairly steep hills and odd patches of easy country and small flats. About 60 acres in bush. Soil is of good quality, resting on papa formation. Well watered by streams. Elevation 550 ft. to 1,200 ft.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 9, Block VIII, Opoe Survey District: Area, 24 acres 1 rood 22 perches.

Amending Regulations for the Conservation and Use of the Rotorua Thermal Springs.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-twenty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do by this notification add the following to the charges at the Rotorua Government baths, to take effect on and from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, that is to say:—

BATHS.

Commutation, Public, Pavilion, Blue, Postmaster, s. d.
25 baths, with towel .. .. .. 15 0
Ditto, without towel .. .. .. 10 0
Postmaster, 12 baths, with towel .. .. 7 6
