Boundaries of Ahikouka River District, County of Featherston,
altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
June, 1924.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Ahikouka River Board, being of the
opinion that the lands described in the First Schedule
hereto, situated in the County of Featherston, and not
included in the Ahikouka River District (hereinafter referred
to as “the said district”), have or may derive benefit from
the drainage-works carried out or proposed to be carried out
by the said Board, did, in accordance with the provisions of
section four of the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913
(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), present a petition
to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the
boundaries of the said district might be altered so as to
include such lands in the said district :
And whereas a Commission appointed in respect thereof
has reported that such lands should be included in the said
district :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him by section four of the
said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
order and declare that as on and from the first day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the boundaries
of the said district shall be altered so as to include therein
the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and that
the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in
the Second Schedule hereto ; and, with the like advice and
consent, doth also direct that the land so included shall be
liable for the levy of rates hereafter to be made by the Board,
and also for the future levying of rates already made by the
said Board.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN AHIKOUKA RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District commencing at
the westernmost corner of Lot 111 of Section 1, Greytown
Small-farms Settlement, and bounded on the north generally
by the Ahikouka River District to the junction of the Muhu-
noa Stream and the Waiohine River ; thence by a right line
to the intersection of the northern boundary of the college
reserve with the boundary of the Borough of Greytown ;
thence north-westerly along the aforesaid borough boundary
to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
AHIKOUKA RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District situated in
Tiffin Survey District and bounded by a line commencing at
the intersection of the roads forming the south-western and
north-western boundaries of Original Section 1, Block XIII,
Tiffin Survey District, and proceeding in a north-easterly
direction along the last-mentioned road to the Waiohine
River ; thence easterly and southerly generally along the
right bank of the Waiohine River aforesaid to its junction
with the Muhunoa or Kempton’s Creek ; thence south-westerly
along a right line to the intersection of the northern boundary
of the College Reserve and the production of south-western
side of the road forming the south-western boundary of
