Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
Waipoua 2B No. 3D No. 2B Block, Waipoua Survey District: Approximate area, 867 acres 1 rood 20 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of January, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Health Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby amend in the following manner the Drainage and Plumbing Regulations made under the said Act on the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the sixth day of the same month, that is to say:-

Paragraph (e) of regulation 9 is hereby amended by deleting the word “or” where it comes between the words “supervision” and “by” in the second line thereof.

Paragraph (c) of clause (1) of regulation 19 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the figures “19,” and substituting therefor the figures “20.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Tramways Act, 1908, and the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of the license granted for a period of twenty-one years from the twenty-first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, by the Rotorua County Council to the Waihi Gold-mining Company (Limited), authorizing the said company to construct and maintain along and across portions of Maraeroa, Oxford-Rotorua, and Oturoa Roads in the Rotorua County, a private tramway for the purpose of connecting certain premises of the said company with the railway reserve at Mamaku Station; the position of such tramway being more particularly shown by means of red and green lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 58632, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon lettered A, B, C.

WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area should be excluded from the County of Cook, and included in the Borough of Gisborne:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended certain alterations of the said area:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of the boundaries of the said borough recommended by the said Commission:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Cook and included in the Borough of Gisborne.
SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF GISBORNE.
ALL that area in the Poverty Bay Land District, commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waimata River in line with the centre of Owen Road, thence proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the centre of Owen Road to the centre of Tyndall Road; thence south-westerly along the centre of Tyndall Road to the centre of Wainui Road; thence north-westerly along the centre of Wainui Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 326, Kaiti Block; thence to and along that boundary to a point in line with the production of the south-western side of Omau Street; thence by that line across Section 326, Kaiti Block, to the south-eastern side of a public road; thence south-westerly along that road and the north-western boundary of Section 327, Kaiti Block, to the intersection of the north-western boundary-lines of Sections 322 and 327, Kaiti Block; thence by a right line across Beach Road and along the north-western side of Beach Road to the south-western boundary of Lot 88, Section 333, Kaiti Block; thence by the said south-western boundary-line of Lot 88 to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 88; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 337A 2, Kaiti Block, to the south-western side of Omau Street; thence by the production of the south-western side of Omau Street north-westerly across Section 337A 2 to the borough boundary; thence by the borough boundary to a point on the left bank of the Waimata River in line with the eastern side of Graham Road; thence generally easterly along the river-bank to the centre of Owen Road, the place of commencement.
