Warrant appointing Conciliation Commissioner under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1908.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred on me by section twenty-nine of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Walter Newton to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; appointment to date from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 10th day of May, 1924.

Amended Regulations under the Nurses Registration Act. (H. 124).
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Nurses Registration Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby revoke regulations numbered 8, 9, 10, and 11 of the regulations under the said Act made on the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and in lieu thereof make the following regulations:
REGULATIONS.
8. The following examinations shall be arranged by the hospital authorities, and certificates of having passed these examinations shall be produced with the application to sit for the State examination as defined in clause 9 hereof:-
(a.) An examination in elementary anatomy and elementary physiology, to be held during the term of training after the end of the first year.
(b.) An examination in general nursing, medical nursing, surgical nursing, and hygiene, to be held after the end of not less than two years and nine months of training.
(c.) An examination in cookery for invalids, approved by the Registrar, to be held at any time during the period of training.
9. For State registration, candidates who have completed three full years training and who can produce the certificates prescribed in clause 8 hereof will be examined in general nursing, medical nursing, surgical nursing, hygiene, and in elementary anatomy and physiology:
Provided that in special circumstances the Registrar may, at his discretion, permit a candidate to appear for examination after she has completed two years and eleven months of her period of training.
