Amendment and Addition to the Regulations made by the Public Service Commissioner affecting every Officer or other Person employed in the Printing and Stationery Department.

IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor-General in Council, doth hereby, in respect of the regulations affecting every officer or other person employed in the Printing and Stationery Department made under the said Act on the seventeenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and the amendments thereof made from time to time under the provisions of the said Act, make the amendment shown in the Schedule hereto.

Such amendment shall have effect from and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three.

SCHEDULE.

REGULATION 12 is hereby amended by deleting the last paragraph, and substituting, in lieu thereof, the following paragraphs:—

“The granting of such leave of absence shall be subject to the express conditions that the total sick-leave taken by the employee during the previous twelve months has not exceeded twelve working-days, and that his duties have been satisfactorily performed. All the days of absence in excess of the number of days allowed for sick-leave shall be deducted from the annual leave of absence granted for recreation: Provided that where such excess leave has been on half-pay the number of days to be deducted from the annual leave shall be reduced by one-half, and, further, that where such excess leave has been without pay no deduction shall be made from the annual leave.

“In special cases the Commissioner may, on the recommendation of the Permanent Head, grant further leave.”

Public Service Classification and Superannuation Amendment Act, 1908.—Election of Members of Teachers’ Superannuation Board.

Education Department,
Wellington, 12th January, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that an election will be held for the purpose of electing as members of the Teachers’ Superannuation Board two persons from among the contributors to the Teachers’ Superannuation Fund resident in the North Island, and two persons from among the contributors to the said fund residing in the South Island (including Stewart and Chatham Islands). And notice is further given that—

(1.) The said election will be held on Monday, the 3rd day of March, 1924, at the offices of the Education Department, Wellington.

(2.) The poll will be closed at 4.30 o’clock p.m.

(3.) Nominations will close on Monday, the 4th day of February, 1924, at 4.30 o’clock p.m.
