Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the North Auckland
Railway (Kirikopuni Section).

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

A PROCLAMATION.

[I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any wise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28, of the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, defining the middle-line of a further portion of the North Auckland Railway, as affects the portion between 118 miles 44 chains and 121 miles 5 chains, as shown on the plan numbered P.W.D. 43572 referred to in such Proclamation; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway commencing at the said point marked 118 miles 44 chains shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the public road in Section 12, Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, marked 118 miles 44 chains on the line of railway defined by the Proclamation dated the 25th February, 1918, hereinbefore referred to, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 2 miles 36 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Section 12, Mareikura B Block, part Section 5, Lots 6, 5, 4, 2, and 1, Paradise Subdivision, all in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, and terminating at a point in the said Lot 1, Paradise Subdivision, Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, marked 121 miles; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58886, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of February, 1924.

Extending Time for holding General Election of Members of the Kahutara River Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this 12th day of February, 1924.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-seven of the River Boards Act, 1908, it is provided that the general election of members of the various River Boards throughout the Dominion shall be held on the second Tuesday in January in every third year:

And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such election of members of the Kahutara River Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section forty-two of the River Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of members of the Board of the Kahutara River District; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid river district the said general election shall be held and take place on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Mangawhero Drainage Board.

Wellington, 14th February, 1924.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Frederick Phillips, Esq., LL.B., of Otorohanga, to be Returning Officer and person to prepare the roll of electors in connection with the first election of the Board of the Mangawhero Drainage District; also to appoint Thursday, the 28th day of February, 1924, to be the day, and the Town Hall, Otorohanga, to be the place, for holding such election; also to appoint Friday, the 7th day of March, 1924, at 1.30 o'clock in the afternoon, to be the day and the hour, and the said Town Hall, Otorohanga, to be the place, for holding the first meeting of the Board so elected.
