OTAKI RIVER BOARD.
SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Otaki River Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Otaki River Board No. 1 Protective Works Special Loan of £750, 1923, authorized to be raised by the Otaki River Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of the carrying-out of certain river-protection works, to be known as “No. 1 Protective Works,” the said Otaki River Board hereby makes and levies special differential rates as particularized hereunder upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property situated in the Otaki River District according to the classification made by the Board on the 9th day of July, 1923, for special-rating purposes in connection with the said loan; such special rates to be annually recurring rates during the currency of the said loan and to be payable yearly on the 8th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off. Particulars of special rates are—
(a.) On lands classified (a) of the said classification seventeen thirty-fifths (17/35ths) of a penny in the pound.
(b.) On lands classified (b) of the said classification one farthing (¼d.) in the pound.
(c.) On lands classified (c) of the said classification one-twentieth (1/20th) of a penny in the pound.
We hereby certify that the foregoing special order, making a special rate for the purpose hereinbefore mentioned, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Otaki River Board held on the 9th day of November, 1923, the provisions of section 60 of the River Boards Act, 1908, having been complied with.

KAITUNA RIVER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 87 of the River Boards Act, 1908, section 6 of the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the Rating Act 1908, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Kaituna River Board hereby resolves,—
That, for the purpose of providing the annual instalment payable under subsection (6) of section 6 of the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the Kaituna River Board hereby makes and levies a uniform special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaituna River District; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate to be levied year by year until the antecedent liability has been extinguished, and be payable in one sum on the 30th day of November in each and every year.

In the matter of the Companies’ Act, 1908, and in the matter of the MATAWAI CO-OPERATIVE SAWMILLING COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Mill Hall, Matawai, on the 2nd day of May, and subsequently confirmed on 26th May, 1923, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
“That the company go into liquidation immediately.”
And at the said meeting, J. D. SMITH, of Gisborne, Company Manager, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
