the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and

Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the
rate of interest that may be paid by the Hobson County
Council in respect of the said loan of one thousand pounds
shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum,
and the said Hobson County Council is hereby authorized to
borrow the said sum of one thousand pounds accordingly.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under
Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
December, 1923.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve
for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in
the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought
under the operation of and declared to be subject to the
provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall
hereafter form part of the Pirongia Domain, and be managed,
administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the
Pirongia Domain Board.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 2 on deposited
plan No. 13952, being portion of Section 43, Town of Alexandra East, and being all the land comprised in certificate
of title, Vol. 339, folio 23, Auckland Registry.

Vesting a Reserve in the Coldstream Road Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day
of December, 1923.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart for a site for a public pound.
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is
expedient to vest the said reserve in the Coldstream Road
Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of
the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto
shall become vested in the Coldstream Road Board, in trust,
for a site for a public pound.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Part Reserve
2406, Block VI, Hinds Survey District, and bounded as
follows: Towards the south-east by Reserve 1262, 668·8 links; towards the south-west by Delemain Street, 327 links; towards the north-west by the main road, 589·8 links; and towards the north-east by other part of Reserve 2406, now Reserve 3967, 317·2 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/33, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Validating Proceedings in connection with Rate levied by
Onerahi Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day
of December, 1923.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR F. H. D. BELL, G.C.M.G., K.C.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Onerahi Town Board (hereinafter referred
to as the "said Board") proceeded in June, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, to make a general
rate of twopence and three-farthings in the pound on the
unimproved value of all the rateable property within the
district of the said Board during the financial year ended the
thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-four:

And whereas the said Board failed to publicly notify not
less than fourteen days before making the rate its intention
to make such rate, as required by the Rating Act, 1908, and
it is expedient to validate the said irregularity:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one
hundred and seven of the Rating Act, 1908, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the proceedings in connection with the making of the said rate shall
be valid to all intents and purposes as if the said Board had
given public notice as aforesaid of its intention to make the
said rate.

Portion of Primary-education Endowment in Clyde Survey
District, Hawke's Bay Land District, set apart as a Site
for a Public School.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves
Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of
the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments
vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites
for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any
part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Hawke's Bay Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the primary-education endowment described in the
Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts
aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a
site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 18 perches, more or less,
being Lot 1, Part Lots 4 and 5, Agricultural Section 3,
Turiroa E.R., Block I, Clyde Survey District: Bounded
towards the north-east by parts Lots 5 and 4 of Agricultural
Section 3, for distances of 916·2 and 513·7 links respectively;
towards the south-east by parts of said Lots 5 and 4, for a
distance of 477·4 links, and again by the Wairoa River;
towards the south-west by Lot 3 of the aforesaid Agricultural
Section 3, for a distance of 1294·9 links; and towards the
north-west by a public road, for distances of 277·4 and
373 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/391, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of December, 1923.
