Declaring Portion of Road in Blocks III and VII, Maungaharuru Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of road declared to be a Government road: 10 acres 0 roods 16 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Tutira Native Block, situated in Blocks III and VII, Maungaharuru Survey District (Hawke's Bay R.D.). (S.O. 692, green.)

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58370, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the portions of road declared to be Government roads: 4 acres 1 rood 23 perches and 2·5 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Section 1 (E.R.), D.P. 3073, situated in Block XVIII, Tahoraite Survey District (Hawke's Bay R.D.).

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58155, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Tatu Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Amos Cornwall,
Edward John Carlyon, jun.,
Alick Castle,
Charles Curtis, and
William Stanley Currie

to be the Tatu Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the nineteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Tatu Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

TATU DOMAIN.—TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2, Tatu Village Suburban, Ohura Survey District: Area, 10 acres.

Licensing Authority appointed under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section nine of the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the Cobden Town Board to be a licensing authority for the purposes of the said Act within the Town District of Cobden.

Mangawhero Drainage District, County of Otorohanga, constituted.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the third section of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Otorohanga, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the said area be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the third section of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, and to be called by the name of the “Mangawhero Drainage District”; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fourth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees of the said district shall consist of five persons to be elected as members of the said Board, and under and in accordance with the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

MANGAWHERO DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Mangawhero Stream and Waipa River, and proceeding thence down that river to the Otorohanga–Te Kuiti Road; thence southerly along that road passing through or fronting Orahiri No. 1 Block, Sections 3 and 2, Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District, Sections 5s, 8s, 9s, and 11s, Tāhiaia Settlement, to the southern
