Amending War Regulations relating to Soldiers' Protection.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section six of the War Regulations Continuance Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Soldiers' Protection Regulations, 1919, as set out in the part numbered twenty-two of the Second Schedule to the said Act by adding thereto the following as clauses 3B and 3C of the said regulations:—
“3B. Nothing in clause 3 of the said regulations shall apply to proceedings taken by any Electric-power Board for the recovery of rates (including special rates) for any period after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, or for the recovery of any moneys which may be or become due and payable to such Board under any contract for the supply of electricity or the installation of fittings or equipment for the purposes of such supply.
“3C. Nothing in clause 3 of the said regulations shall apply to proceedings taken by any local authority for the recovery of rates (including special rates) levied by such local authority for any period after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.”

Amending the Description of Matata Domain, Auckland Land District.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1923.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the twenty-second day of that month, certain recreation reserves in the Auckland Land District were brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, as the Matata Domain:
And whereas, by a further Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the twenty-eighth day of that month, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Matata Domain as aforesaid:
And whereas an error was made in the description of the said Matata Domain in the Schedules to the said Orders in Council, and it is expedient that the said error should be rectified:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby amend the Orders in Council of the ninth day of March, and the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, hereinbefore referred to, by substituting the description of the Matata Domain as set forth in the Schedule hereto in lieu of the description of the said domain as set forth in the Schedules to the said Orders in Council.

SECTION 1, Block I, and Sections 2 and 3, Block VI, Awa-o-te-Atua Survey District: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 37 perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Surveyors' Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the undermentioned persons to be members of the Surveyors' Board constituted by the said Act, namely,—
George Henry Bullard,
Thomas Brook,
Samuel Thomas Seddon, M.C., and
Archibald Hugh Bogle,
the two first-named persons having been nominated by the Minister of Lands, and the two last-named persons having been nominated by the Council of the Institute of Surveyors, as required by the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Manukau County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 3 roods 34·7 perches.
