BOROUGH OF NORTHCOTE.

PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Northcote intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of constructing thereon septic and settling tanks in connection with a drainage scheme about to be carried out in the said borough, and that a plan of that part of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town Clerk, at Northcote, and may be inspected there without fee during office hours. And further notice is hereby given that unless within forty days from the 23rd day of November, 1923, any written objection to the taking of such land is sent to the Town Clerk, Northcote Borough Council, the said Northcote Borough Council shall proceed to take the said land for such work.

THE SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement one rood eighteen perches, more or less, being Lots Eighty and Eighty-one on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 7791, which said piece of land is portion of Allotment Thirty of the Parish of Takapuna, and is the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 196, folio 135, of the Register-book of the Land Registry Office aforesaid, such land being delineated by plan (S.O. 22687) deposited in the Head Office Department of the Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red; a copy of which plan has been deposited with the Town Clerk as aforesaid for public inspection.

DANNEVIRKE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Dannevirke Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-five thousand pounds (£15,000) authorized to be raised by the Dannevirke Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of—

(a.) To provide, construct, and erect all electrical distribution and reticulation of the Dannevirke Electric-power District, and to provide tools, plant, buildings, land, and equipment for the same, as defined by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and its amendments ;

(b.) To provide money to install electrical and other equipment for consumers as provided for under section 88 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and amendments thereto, and provide money to purchase electrical and other equipment to sell to
