Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.
ARTHUR W. HYMAN, Esquire, of Pitt and Hunter Streets, Sydney, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Robert Stout, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of New South Wales, under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Canterbury Land Board being held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, during the year 1924, at 10 o’clock a.m., on Wednesday, the 16th January, 20th February, 19th March, 16th April, 21st May, 18th June, 16th July, 20th August, 17th September, 15th October, 19th November, and 10th December.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the under-mentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments.

One-fifth cash on fall of hammer, and balance, with Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the deposit aforesaid will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908.

Milling-timber for Sale by Public Tender, Nelson—Marlborough Forest-conservation Region.
State Forest Service,
Nelson, 5th November, 1923.
NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned lots of milling-timber will close at the office of the State Forest Service, Nelson, at 4 o’clock p.m., on Wednesday, the 5th December, 1923.
SCHEDULE.
An approximate area of 173 acres, situated in State Forest NM 129, Block V, Reefton Survey District, about 1 mile from Cronadun Railway-station.
Estimated quantity of milling-timber, 336,300 superficial feet, comprising rimu, 169,200 ; kahikatea, 155,900 ; miro, 9,000 ; and kaikawaka 2,200.
Upset price, £315.
Ground rent, £8 13s. per annum.
Four years will be allowed in which to remove the timber.
