MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND CLOSE A ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public
Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, altering the
course of a road-and for the purpose of such public work the
land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be
taken; and, further, that it is proposed to close the portions
of road described in the Second Schedule hereto. Notice is
further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken
and closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the
said Council at Te Araroa, and is open for inspection by all
persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking and
closing of such roads who have any well-founded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking and
closing of the said lands must state their objections in writing,
and send the same within fifty-six days from the first
publication of the said notice to the County Clerk at the
Council Chambers, Te Araroa.
