Waipa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of acquiring, forming, dedicating, and metalling
for the first time roads in the Horotiu Special Rating Area,
the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all ratable property in the Horotiu Special Rating
Area as described in the Schedule hereto; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st
day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Horotiu Special Rating Area.

ALL that area in the County of Waipa bounded, commencing
at the northern corner of Allotment 121 of the Parish of
Horotiu, towards the north-east by the south-western
boundaries of Allotments 118, 118A, and 119 of the said
parish to the south-eastern boundary-line of the said parish ;
thence towards the south-east by the said boundary-line to
the western side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway
line; thence again towards the north-east by the said railway-
line to a point in the southern boundary of Allotment 9 of
the Parish of Pukete where the said railway-line cuts such
boundary; thence towards the south-east by a road to the
eastern corner of Allotment 10 of the said parish; thence
towards the south-west by the north-eastern boundary of the
said Allotment 10 to the northern corner of the said Allot-
ment 10; thence again towards the south-east by the north-
western boundary of the said Allotment 10 to a point in such
boundary in line with a point in the south-eastern boundary
of Lot 3 on deposited plan number 14256 distant 614·6 links
from the southernmost corner of the said Lot 3; thence by
a right line to the said point in the south-eastern boundary
of the said Lot 3; thence towards the south-east by the
said south-eastern boundary of Lot 3 to the southernmost
corner of the said Lot 3; thence towards the south-west
generally by the south-western boundaries of Lots 3, 2, and 1
on the said deposited plan number 14256 to the south-eastern
corner of Allotment 133 of the Parish of Horotiu ; thence by
the south-western boundaries of Allotments 133, 134, 135,
and 136 of the said parish to the south-western corner of the
said Allotment 136; thence by the north-western boundary
of the said Allotment 136, a line across a road, and the north-
western boundary of Allotment 128 of the said parish to the
northern corner of the said Allotment 128; thence by the
north-eastern boundary of the said Allotment 128 to the
southern corner of Allotment 129 of the said parish; thence
by the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 129 and
130A of the said parish to the northern corner of Allotment
129 of the said parish; thence by the north-eastern boundary
of the said Allotment 129, a line across a road, and the north-
western boundaries of Allotments 122 and 121 of the said
parish to the northern corner of the said Allotment 121, the
place of commencement.

KIMIHIHIA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Kimihia Drainage Board
hereby resolves by way of special order that, for the purpose
of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300
to be raised by the said Board for the purpose of widening
and deepening the Kimihia Outlet Drain, the said Kimihia
Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
l¼d. on Class A lands, ⅝d. on Class B lands, and 5/16ths of a
penny on Class C lands, on the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Kimihia Drainage District; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—CRANE'S SPECIAL LOAN
AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the
Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of formation and metalling that portion of
the Ngararatunua–Kauri Road known as Crane's Road, the
Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate
of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property within the said Crane’s Special Rating
Area, comprising all the area and rateable property within
the boundaries of the following lines,
Commencing at a point on the road opposite the north-
western boundary of the Rawhitiroa Block in Block VIII,
Purua S.D.; thence due north by a straight line to the stream
where it intersects the south-eastern boundary corner of the
Tumahia Block; thence due east by the centre of the said
stream to the eastern boundary of section (not named) shown
as containing 76½ acres; thence due north by the eastern
boundary of the said section (not named) to intersection with
road; thence across the road and generally north by the
eastern boundaries of Te Waipu, Tumahia, and Maketawa
Blocks to intersection with the Ngararatunua–Kauri Road
at the north-western boundary of the Maketawa Block;
thence northward along the eastern boundary of the said road
to the north boundary-line of Section 18; thence crossing
the said road and round the north and western boundaries
of the said section 18 to the angle shown in its western bound-
ary-line; thence north-west from that angle along the
boundary-line between Sections 6 and 20 to junction of three
roads at the north-western corner of Section 20; thence
generally southwards along the western boundary-lines of
subdivisions of the said Section 20, as shown on litho attached,
to end of road at the northern corner boundary of Section 19
in Block VII, Purua S.D.; thence south-east by a curved
line along the subdivision of Section 20 to angle at the
eastern boundary of Section 19; thence southward along the
eastern boundary of Section 19 to its junction with the
northern boundary of Waipapa Block; thence eastward along
the southern boundaries of Section 20 to its junction of stream
which forms the southern boundary-line of Tumahia Block;
thence south and east along the course of such stream to
the north-western boundary corner of L.D. (3984); thence
southward along the western boundary of L.D. (3984), and
