Result of Election of Trustee of Drainage District.

THE following result of the election of a trustee of a drainage district has been received from the Returning Officer, and is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908.

Prohibiting the Importation into Australia from New Zealand of Deciduous Fruit Trees and Parts thereof, and Plants and Parts thereof of the Family Rosaceae.—Notice No. Ag. 2282.

IT is hereby notified, for public information, that advice has been received from the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia of the modification of the prohibition of the importation into Australia from New Zealand of plants and parts of plants. The prohibition now operates in the case of—
(a.) All deciduous fruit trees or parts thereof (including the fruit and seeds); and
(b.) All plants or parts of plants of the family Rosaceae (including fruit and seeds);
which were grown in any country in which pear-blight or fire-blight (Bacillus amylovorus) exists. The Minister for Health may, however, permit the importation of new or special varieties of deciduous fruit trees or their fruit or seeds subject to any conditions which he may think fit to impose.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments.

Pastoral Run in Marlborough Land District for License by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral run will be offered for license by public auction for a term of thirty-five years, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and its amendments, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, 27th September, 1923. Immediate possession will be given.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN AND NATIONAL ENDOWMENT LAND.
Kaikoura County.—Kaitarau, Mount Fyffe, and Greenburn Survey Districts.
RUN 128, "Snowflake" : Area, 11,430 acres ; upset annual rental, £90.
Term of license, thirty-five years from 1st March, 1924.
The lower portion of this run contains some well-grassed spurs, with patches of light, inferior, mixed bush and scrub. The remainder comprises rough, broken, mountainous country. Situated up the Kowhai River, about nine miles from Kaikoura.
Possession will be given on day of sale.
Plans containing full particulars may be obtained at this office.
