Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifteenth day of that month, the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for scenic purposes under the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910.

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the forest thereon:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2, Block III, Awakino Survey District: Area, 16 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of July, 1923.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 12·9 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part of Section 20, Block IX, Hunua Survey District, and being Lot 5 on the plan numbered 216/18, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of July, 1923.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Section 49, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District: Area, 9 acres 2 roods 23 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of July, 1923.
