EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER LEVYING BRIDGE RATE OVER THE ALFREDTON RIDING OF THE EKETAHUNA COUNTY.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the amendments thereto, the Eketauna County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund to secure the repayment of a loan or loans to be raised under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for providing the funds for the reconstruction of bridges exceeding 30 feet in span in the Alfredton Riding of the Eketa-huna County under the jurisdiction of the Eketauna County Council, the said Council makes and levies a special rate of 29/32d. in the pound over the above-mentioned riding (to be called Alfredton Riding Bridge Rate) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Alfredton Riding of the County of Eketauna; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loans, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan or loans, until such loan or loans are fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the amendments thereto, the Eketauna County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund to secure the repayment of a loan or loans to be raised under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for providing the funds for the reconstruction of bridges exceeding 30 feet in span in the West Riding of the Eketa-huna County under the jurisdiction of the Eketauna County Council, the said Council makes and levies a special rate of 61/64d. in the pound over the above-mentioned riding (to be called West Riding Bridge Rate) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the West Riding of the County of Eketauna; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loans, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan or loans, until such loan or loans are fully paid off.

COLLINGWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Counties Act, 1920, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Collingwood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the Collingwood County Council Workers’ Dwelling Loan of £1,100, authorized to be raised by special order, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of erecting a doctor’s residence as a worker’s dwelling, the said Collingwood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny (1/24d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Collingwood; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal and other charges on the Whangarei Borough Workers’ Dwellings Loan, 1923, of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying on the workers’ dwellings scheme, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four twenty-fifths of a penny (4/25d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan.

I, CYRIL HENRY WILLIAMS, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Univ. of N.Z. 1923, now residing in Auckland, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 29th July next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

BOROUGH OF TAURANGA.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A RECREATION RESERVE.

The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Tauranga proposes to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of a recreation reserve; and also that a plan showing the lands required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Tauranga Borough Council, Willow Street, Tauranga, and is open for inspection during business hours; and also that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 26th day of June, 1923, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the office of the Tauranga Borough Council addressed to the undersigned.
