Notice of Exchange of Reserve for Land of Equal Value
pursuant to Section 6 of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the
said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case
of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-
General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II in the
Second Schedule to the said Act, to exchange any of the land
comprised in such reserve to be dedicated to one or more of
the purposes comprised in the said Class II :
And whereas the land described in Part I of the Schedule
hereto was duly set apart for a site for an explosives maga-
zine, being a purpose within Class II in the Second Schedule
to the said Act, and it is expedient that the said land
should be exchanged for the Crown land of equal value
described in Part II of the Schedule hereto, and that the land
last referred to should be dedicated for a site for an explo-
sives magazine :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by
section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the
land described in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby
exchanged for the land of equal value described in Part II
of the Schedule hereto ; and, further, that the land described
in Part II of the Schedule hereto is hereby dedicated for a
site for an explosives magazine (being a purpose comprised
in Class II of the Second Schedule of the Act). And I do
hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to
the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take
effect according to the provisions of that section.

SECTIONS 13 and 14, Block II, Rangi Survey District, Tara-
naki Land District : Area, 4 acres 0 roods 37 perches.
PART II.
Lot 1 of Section 1, Block II, Rangi Survey District, Tara-
naki Land District : Area, 4 acres 0 roods 37 perches.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 9th day of June, 1923.

Declaring Road-line intersecting Land in Tapuae Settlement,
Wellington Land District, to be closed.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the
Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the
road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and
unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under
the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the
subdivision of such land :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
eighty of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and of all
other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road hereinafter
described ; and I do hereby declare that the said road
shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements
Act, 1908.

deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2021, and thereon coloured
green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 27th day of June, 1923.

green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 27th day of June, 1923.

Portion of Primary-education Endowment in Linkwater Survey
District, Marlborough Land District, set apart as a Site for a
Public School.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves
Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of
the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments
vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites
for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any
part of such reserves or endowments :
And whereas the Land Board of the Marlborough Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the primary-education endowment described in the
Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public
school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recom-
mendation :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts
aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-
education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a
site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing
by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 18 perches, being Section 2
of 15, Block X, Linkwater Survey District, bounded as
follows : Towards the north and east, 511·6 and 754·7 links
respectively by Section 4 of 15 ; towards the south by a public
road, 411·6 links ; towards the west and again to the south,
411·6 and 100 links respectively by Section 3 of 15 ; and
again towards the west by Section 1 of 15 and 4 of 15, 504·7
links : be all the aforesaid measurements more or less. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/96,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 30th day of June, 1923.
