Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Williams Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1923.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint THE WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL to be the Williams Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Council Chambers, Wanganui, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
WILLIAMS DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 2·8 perches, being part of Section 89, Left Bank of Wanganui River, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 127, folio 80, Wellington Registry.

Fixing Royalty for Shingle, Sand, &c.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1923.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following by-law, viz.:-

BY-LAW.
Every person removing stone, shingle, boulders, or sand from any portion of the shore lying between high- and low-water marks at ordinary spring tides, or from the bed of any harbour, or of a navigable river, or of the sea immediately adjacent thereto, under the authority in writing of the Minister, shall pay to the Minister such royalty, not exceeding two shillings per cubic yard, as may from time to time be prescribed by him.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that there shall be constituted a Board to the called the Prisons Board, consisting of not less than three nor more than seven persons: And whereas by the said section it is provided that the members of the Board shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor-General in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint The Right Honourable Sir ROBERT STOUT, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand; CHARLES EDWARD MATTHEWS, Esq., Under-Secretary for Justice and Controller-General of Prisons; JOSEPH FRANK STRONG HAY, Esq., Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals; GIBBES CLAUDE BORLASE JORDAN, Esq., of Tauranga; Sir GEORGE FENWICK, Kt., of Dunedin; EDWIN Hall, Esq., of Onehunga; and WILLIAM REECE, Esq., of Christchurch, to be members of the Prisons Board constituted under the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1923.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F./MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1923.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
