of the said Act shall come into force within the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 3 roods 25·32 perches, be the same a little more or less, and being the lots numbered 22 to 93 inclusive, and a drainage reserve, on a plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington and numbered 2560, and lots numbered 1 to 19 inclusive on a plan deposited in the aforementioned office and numbered 3342, and lots numbered 5 to 21 inclusive on a plan deposited in the aforementioned office and numbered 2458, together with another portion of Original Section 8, Evans Bay District, situate at the intersection of Lyall Parade and Onepu Road, bounded on the north by Lot 21 on the aforementioned plan 2458 and on the east by Lot 1 on the aforementioned plan 3342. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/75/7, deposited in the Head Office of the Lands and Survey Department at Wellington, under No. 2010, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1923.

Settlement Lands set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 2 roods 6 perches.

Passing through Section 116, North Bank of Wairau; coloured green.

All situated in Block VI, Cloudy Bay Survey District.

All in the Marlborough Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 56221 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2015, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1923.

All situated in Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 800/349.)

All in the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50453, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1923.
