(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-breaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the North Taranaki Hunt Club were made and passed by such club on the 13th day of April, 1923, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the INVERCARGILL INVESTMENT COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company (being a company registered as a private company under Part V of the Companies Act, 1908) duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Invercargill on the second day of May, 1923, the following special resolution was duly passed:—
That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that WILLIAM ALEXANDER OTT, of Invercargill, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Messrs. McKellar and Son’s office, 77 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on the twenty-seventh day of April, 1923, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
At the same meeting DENYS HOARE, of Christchurch, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company voluntarily.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £6,500, authorized to be raised by the Thames Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes, namely,—
(a.) The acquisition of lands required for approach roads to proposed new Kauaeranga Traffic-bridge from Pollen, Mackay, Fenton, Banks, and Bowen Streets, the fencing, forming, and metalling of such roads, and the construction of bridges, culverts, drains, stop-banks, flood-gates, and other minor works in connection therewith;
(b.) The erection of a slaughterman’s cottage, outbuildings, and fences at Municipal Abattoir, Parawai;
the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-twelfths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Thames, comprising the whole of the Borough of Thames. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Hamilton Racing Club at a meeting held on the 10th day of April, 1923, at Hamilton, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. G. W. Vercoe, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. G. W. Vercoe, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. O. R. Farrer seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—

REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Hamilton Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby revoke the regulations dated the 9th day of January, 1919, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Claudelands Racecourse situated in the district of Waikato,
