WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MANGAPIKO METALLING LOAN £6,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling roads in the Mangapiko Riding for the first time, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mangapiko Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the MOTUEKA FARMERS’ CO-OPERATIVE COMPANY (LIMITED), in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Motueka Farmers’ Co-operative Company (Limited) held at Motueka on 2nd March, 1923, the following extraordinary resolutions were passed:—

  1. That it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same by voluntary liquidation.
  2. That JOHN JENKISON, of Motueka, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing its assets.

PETONE AND LOWER HUTT GAS LIGHTING BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Act, 1922, and by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board Petone Gas Redemption Loan of £17,900, 1923, authorized to be raised by the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying such part of the sum repayable under the matured Petone Borough Council Consolidated Loan No. 1 of £26,200 and the matured Petone Borough Council Consolidated Loan No. 2 of £12,000 as is a liability of the Board in terms of section 20 of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Act, 1922, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine thirty-eights of a penny (9/38d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Boroughs of Petone and Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Petone Borough Council Consolidated Loans Redemption Loan of £14,300, 1923, authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying part of the sum repayable under the matured Petone Borough Council Consolidated Loan No. 1 of £26,200 and the matured Petone Borough Council Consolidated Loan No. 2 of £12,000, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three fifty-thirds of a penny (23/53d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Petone, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred and sixty pounds, authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Town Board aforesaid, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the formation and metalling of roads and the formation and surfacing of footpaths in the Manurewa Town District, the Manurewa Town Board aforesaid hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Manurewa Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Bay of Plenty Jockey Club at a meeting held on the 13th day of February, 1923, at Tauranga, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. J. G. Green, of Tauranga, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. J. G. Green, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. C. F. Oliver seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to:—
