HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000, authorized to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of distributing electrical energy in the Hutt Valley Electric-power District, the said Hutt Valley Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and thirty-three one-hundredths of a penny (1d. and 33/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Hutt Valley Electric-power District, on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF RANGIORA.

POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUES.

PURSUANT to section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Rangiora taken on the seventh day of March, 1923, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said borough be on the basis of the unimproved value, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 266, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 87.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
