IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native
Land Act, 1909, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in
the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim as stopped the Government road described in the
Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped :
3 acres 2 roods 27.6 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 15, 16, 17, 21, 20, 22,
18, 19, Block III, Piopiotea West Survey District (Taranaki

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56289,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and its amendments :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth,
Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
TAUMATAMAHOE 2B 2B No. 1 Block, Mahoe Survey District:
Approximate area, 1,381 acres 1 rood 5 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day
of March, 1923.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the thirty-
first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-two, and issued pursuant to section twenty-one of
the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section three of the
Land Laws Amendment Act, 1914, provision has been made
for the alteration of the boundaries of the Hawke's Bay
Land District and the constitution of the Poverty Bay Land
District as from the first day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-three:
And whereas the said Order in Council has not yet taken
effect and it is deemed expedient to revoke the same and
make other provision in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts,
