Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.
THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the
Borough of Tauranga, are published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF TAURANGA.
Electric Loan £90,000.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give public notice that at a poll of ratepayers
of the Borough of Tauranga taken on the 15th day of
December, 1922, on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough
Council to borrow the sum of £90,000 for hydro-electric
works at McLaren's Falls, Wairoa River, the number of votes
cast was as follows : For the proposal, 441 ; against the
proposal, 45 ; informal, 6 : total, 492.
And I hereby declare that the proposal was carried.
Recreation-ground Loan, £3,250.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give public notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the
Borough of Tauranga taken on the 15th day of December,
1922, on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £3,250 for acquiring Lots 604 to 613,
Section 11, Town of Tauranga, for a recreation-ground, the
number of votes cast was as follows : For the proposal, 331 ;
against the proposal, 148 ; informal, 13 : total, 492.
And I hereby declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Board of the Ostend Road District, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

OSTEND ROAD BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £1,250.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Ostend Road District taken on the 20th day of December,
1922, on the proposal of the Ostend Road Board to borrow
the sum of £1,250 for the following objects-
£
Erecting retaining-wall along Wharf Road .. 280
Forming road along foreshore at Anzac Bay .. 200
Forming Zigzag Road . . . . . . 150
Raising, forming, and metalling portion of Onetangi
Road across swamp . . . . . . 280
Metalling and culverting portions of Onetangi Road 340
£1,250
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 33, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 46.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Council of the County of Tauranga, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Rangiuru Special Rating Area of the County of Tauranga
taken on the 19th day of December, 1922, on the proposal of
the Tauranga County Council to borrow the sum of £750
for the purpose of acquiring land, fencing, and constructing
new road leading from Karana Road to the Rangiuru Rail-
way-station, the number of votes recorded for the proposal
was 9, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal
was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 21st day of December, 1922.

Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that separate polls of the ratepayers in
each of the ridings of the County of Pohangina were taken
on Wednesday, the 20th day of December, 1922, on the
proposal of the Pohangina County Council to borrow the
undernoted sums for each of the ridings of the County of
Pohangina respectively, for the purpose of building concrete
culverts and small bridges (where necessary) throughout
the county, namely :-
