Altitude from 600 ft. to 3,500 ft. above sea-level. About 3,000 acres is fair country, undulating to hilly, mostly in fern, with patches of scrub. The balance is rough and poor, being high wind-swept tops and shingle slides facing Ngaruroro River. Practically no fencing on run. There is a one-roomed whare and holding-paddock near the centre of run, situated about nine miles from Willowford and forty-two miles from Napier.

Hawke’s Bay County.—Waitara Survey District.

Pastoral Run No. 24: Area, 5,804 acres; upset annual rental, £75.

Rough and undulating country, covered with fern and scrubby manuka. A belt of about ten chains wide which extends along the top and sides of the range on the south-east boundary, and the tops of most of the hills and spurs, are covered with native grasses. The soil is of a light pumiceous nature. Fronts Mohaka River, situated forty-seven miles from Napier, and nineteen miles from Te Pohue by formed dray-road, with the exception of three miles of bridle-track.

Waitara Survey District.

Pastoral Run No. 3: Area, 5,388 acres; upset annual rental, £33 6s.

Comprises open fern and manuka land, portions in native and self-sown English grasses, light pumiceous soil. Fronts Mohaka River. Elevation from 500 ft. to 3,000 ft. above sea-level.

Kuripapanga and Ngaruroro Survey Districts.

Pastoral Run No. 23: Area, 18,711 acres; upset annual rental, £250.

Weighted with £500, valuation for wool-shed, which must be paid for in cash, or in twenty years by forty half-yearly instalments of £20 1s. 3d.

Other improvements consisting of wool-shed, old yards, two sheds, 12½ miles of fencing, yards, two whares, dip and yards, plantation and orchard, are effected on the run.

Altitude from 1,000 ft. to 3,600 ft. above sea-level. There is an area of fair country (about 5,000 acres approximately) extending north and south through the block covered with tussock, native grasses, and manuka. The balance consists chiefly of high country of poor soil, covered principally with manuka. The top of the ranges are bare, shingly, and wind-swept. Access is by main road (Napier to Patea), which passes through the northern portion of the block. Distance from Napier to Kuripapanga Hotel about forty-five miles.

Possession will be given on day of sale.
