RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Collingwood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the Collingwood County Council Paturau Road Loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making the Paturau Road, the said Collingwood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-eighth penny (1⅛d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Westhaven Special Rating District, comprising part of Westhaven Riding bounded on the north by Lots 4 and 5 of part Section 1, Square 17, Block VII, Pakawau Survey District (part of the estate of J. Prouse), on the west and north-west by Tasman Sea, on the south and south-west by Kahurangi Lighthouse Reserve, on the east and south-east by part Section 1, Square 17, Blocks VII and XI, Pakawau Survey District, Blocks IV and XVI, Paturau Survey District, and Blocks III, V, VI, and VII, Wakamarama Survey District, the property of the Taitapu Freehold Land and Development Company (Limited); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.


PAHAOA BRIDGES SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect to interest and principal and also other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Featherston County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the construction of four bridges over the Pahaoa River and making the necessary protective works and approaches thereto (being ten per centum additional of the Pahaoa River Bridges Loan No. 2 £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Council under section 16 (e) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, such latter amount being insufficient to complete the work for which the loan was raised), the said Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-eighth (1/28th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable properties within the Pahaoa Bridges Special Rating District, which district comprises all that area situate within the Pahaoa Riding the boundaries of which are more particularly described in a resolution passed on the 14th day of November, 1919, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 135, of the 20th November, 1919, at page 3558.

And this special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION passed at a Special Meeting of the Hokianga County Council held on Saturday, the 21st day of October, 1922, and confirmed on Wednesday, the 6th day of December, 1922.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1920, the Hokianga County Council resolves, by way of special order, to alter the existing riding boundaries and to create two new ridings as follows:—

Proposed Mangamuka Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in the Hokianga County, commencing at the southernmost point of the Kauri Putete Block, bounded towards the south-east generally by the Waihou Riding as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1919, page 818, to the Mangamuka River; thence by the low-water mark along the right bank of the said Mangamuka River to its confluence with the Orowao Stream; bounded towards the south generally by the centre of the said Orawao Stream to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Old Land Claim 142, and by the said north-western boundary of the aforementioned Old Land Claim 142 to the north-eastern boundary of Section 61, shown on plans 7197 and 7199, deposited at the office of the District Land Registrar, Auckland; thence by the said north-eastern boundary and the north-western boundary of the afore-mentioned Section 61; thence by the north-western boundary of Section 60 and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 63, both sections shown on plans 7197 and 7199 deposited as aforesaid, to the Te Karae—Broadwood Road; thence following the eastern side of the said Te Karae—Broadwood Road to and across a public road, and again by the eastern and northern sides of the said Te Karae—Broadwood Road to the south-eastern corner of Section 46, shown on plan 7196 deposited as aforesaid; bounded towards the west by the eastern boundaries of the said Section 46, an area of Crown land, and a State forest reserve, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1903, page 2122, to its intersection with the south-easterly boundary of the Mangonui County as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1918, page 1685; thence towards the west and north generally by the said Mangonui County boundary to its intersection with the westerly boundary of the Whangaroa County as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1918, page 1686; bounded towards the north-east by the said Whangaroa County boundary to the point of commencement.

Proposed Kohukohu Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in the Hokianga County, commencing at the mouth of the Orowao Stream, and following in a southerly direction the low-water mark of the Mangamuka and Hokianga Rivers to the southernmost point of the Kohukohu Town District; bounded towards the west generally by the western boundary of the said Kohukohu Town District as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1912, page 163, to the north-eastern corner of Section 28, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District; thence by the northern boundary of the said Section 28 to and across a public road, then again by the aforementioned northern boundary of the said Section 28 and the northern boundaries of Sections 34 and 33, both of Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 61, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary of the said Section 61 and Sections B
