UPPER LEADING-LIGHT.
An Aga light has now been installed as an upper leading-light for Apia Harbour.
Description.—White flash light, showing 1 flash of 0·3 second every 3 seconds, dark period 2·7 seconds; red sector from N. 30° W. to N. 38° W. over Niss Reef; white from N. 38° W. to N. 55° W. and from N. 30° W. to N. 65° E.; all bearings magnetic.
Position.—On Vaea Hill, longitude 176° 46′ 15″ west, latitude 13° 50′ 00″ south. Height above water, 213 ft.
Visibility.—12 miles (at least).
Notice to Mariners.—No. 5 of 1923.
GISBORNE ROADSTEAD.—BUOY ON TEMOANA ROCK.

Wellington, N.Z., 29th January, 1923.
WITH reference to Notice to Mariners No. 68 of 1922, mariners are hereby notified that the red flashing light marking Temoana Rock in Gisborne Roadstead will be replaced on or about the 12th February next, when the substitute buoy will be removed.
