HAVELOCK PHARMACY (LTD.).—IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the
matter of Havelock Pharmacy (Limited).

N OTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-
book of the above-named company signed by the
requisite number of shareholders holding the requisite number
of shares, and taking effect as a special resolution under
section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, it was resolved :—

  1. “That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. “That Mr. A. I. RAINBOW, Public Accountant, Hastings,
    be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between us, the undersigned JAMES ALEX-
ANDER PATERSON, of Dunedin, Warehouseman, and WILLIAM
HENRY JACKSON, of Dunedin aforesaid, Warehouseman,
carrying on business as Distributing Agents and Manufac-
turers at Dunedin aforesaid under the style or firm of “The
Paterson Jackson Company,” has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the nineteenth day of July, 1922. All debts
due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and
paid by JAMES ALEXANDER PATERSON, who will continue to
carry on the said business under the old style or firm.

KAHAUTARA RIVER BOARD.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
the Rating Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Kahautara
River Board resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect to interest and principal and also other charges on
a loan of £14,000, authorized to be raised by the Kahautara
River Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
the Rating Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, for the pur-
pose of erecting stopbanks for river-protection, the Kahau-
tara River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
two and three-eighths of a penny (2¾d.) in the pound sterling
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable properties within the Kahautara River Dis-
trict ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments, and of the Counties Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Hutt County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, and of all other Acts and powers enabling it in that
behalf, to execute certain public works—namely, the erection
of a public hall and bathing-sheds and conveniences in the
Township or District of Plimmerton, situate within the said
Hutt County ; and for the purpose of such public works the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of
the said Council situate in Lambton Quay, in the City of
Wellington, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by
all persons during ordinary office hours ; and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public works or the taking
of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of
the said land, set forth the same in writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Hutt County
Council, addressed to the Clerk of the said Council at his
office.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land situated in the Provincial
District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement three
roods and twenty decimal three perches (3 r. 20·3 p.), more
or less, being portion of the Taupo Number 2 Block, situate
in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and being
portions of the lots numbered 42 and 45 on a subdivisional
plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Wellington as Number 2555. As the said piece of land is
delineated and coloured in outline red in the plan deposited
at the office of the Hutt County Council as aforesaid, and
being the lot numbered 2 on the said plan.
