day of that month, the Waiuku Domain Board was constituted and appointed to control the Waiuku Domain, in pursuance of section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :

And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said Waiuku Domain to Massey Park Domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Massey Park Domain ; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, hereinbefore referred to, and doth hereby appoint

to be the Massey Park Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

The first meeting of the said Board shall be held on Thursday, the second day of November, 1922, at half past seven o’clock p.m., at the Town Board Office, Waiuku.

SCHEDULE.

MASSEY PARK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part Lot 73 of the Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the north-west by Lot 65 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku, 300 links ; towards the north-east by Lot 66 of the said village, 324 links ; towards the east and south-east by a public road, 389·86 and 491·07 links ; towards the south by a public road, 210·09 links ; and towards the west by Lot 228 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku, 819 links.

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part of Lot 73, Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the east by a public road, 552·35 and 175·97 links ; towards the south by a public road, 463·73 links ; and towards the north-west by a railway reserve, 129·17 and 749·97 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked 1/221, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plans 1491, 3769, 19366/8, 9.)

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 4 acres 0 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 228 of the Parish of Waiuku East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 47, folio 249, Auckland Registry.

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 1 rood 29 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 229 of the Parish of Waiuku East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 50, folio 143, Auckland Registry.

Tariff Agreement with Commonwealth of Australia.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of October, 1922.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is found expedient to modify the Tariff agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia, which was ratified by the Tariff Agreement (New Zealand and Australia) Ratification Act, 1922 :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers particularly conferred on him by sections eight and twelve of the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, by section two of the Tariff Agreement (New Zealand and Australia) Ratification Act, 1922, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby modify the Schedule to the agreement for Customs reciprocity between New Zealand and Australia, as the same is set out in the said Tariff Agreement (New Zealand and Australia) Ratification Act, 1922, to the extent and in the manner following :—

  1. Consecutive No. 26 : “Meats, Potted or Preserved ” to be altered to 2d. per lb. instead of 20 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against Australia.”

  2. Consecutive No. 30 : “Meats, viz., (c.) Preserved in tins or other airtight vessels, including the weight of the liquid contents,” to be altered to 2d. per lb. instead of 20 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against New Zealand.”

  3. Consecutive No. 67 : To be altered by deleting the words “Sheets and Roofing Slates composed of cement and asbestos or of similar materials.”

  4. A fresh consecutive number to be inserted as follows : Consecutive No. 67A, Tariff Item No. 240A, “Sheets and Roofing Slates composed of cement and asbestos or of similar materials ” ; 10 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against New Zealand,” and 10 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against Australia.”

  5. Consecutive No. 69 : To be altered by deleting the words “sheets, plain or corrugated, roofing slates and.”

  6. Consecutive No. 85 : To be altered by inserting after the word “Curdmills” the words “Curd-agitators, Curd-mixers.”

  7. A fresh consecutive number to be inserted after consecutive number 120 as follows : Consecutive No. 120A, “Corn Millet Brooms” ; 30 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against New Zealand,” and 30 per cent. ad valorem in the column headed “Proposed Duties against Australia.”

And doth direct that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Exempting Goods from certain Countries from Depreciated Currency Duties.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of October, 1922.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby exempt from the payment of special duty under section thirteen of the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, as amended by section eighteen of the Finance Act, 1921-22, and section seven of the Customs Amendment Act, 1922, goods being the produce or manufacture of any of the following countries, where the commercial or banking value of the monetary unit in relation to the sovereign is less than the value of that unit in accordance with the mintage rate of exchange—namely, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Spain, and Italy.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted the nineteenth day of May, one
