The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 105, of 21st August, 1919, relating to the above-named officer is hereby cancelled.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, of 9th March, 1922; relating to Captain G. N. Taylor, late Unattached List (b), is hereby cancelled.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Newmarket, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET.

Result of Poll.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Newmarket taken on the 15th day of August, 1922, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £12,500 for the erection and furnishing of municipal buildings, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 342, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 63 ; informal, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 16th day of August, 1922.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Motueka, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Motueka was taken on the 26th day of July, 1922, at the Borough Council Chambers at Motueka and at Hau within the said borough, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £5,500 for general street and road formation and improvement within the borough.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 142, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 185. The number of informal votes recorded was 2.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Dated this 28th day of July, 1922.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of Te Kauwhata Special Rating Area of the Whangamarino Road District taken on the 19th day of August, 1922, on the proposal of the Whangamarino Road Board to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of erecting a war memorial hall on Section 5, Township of Te Kauwhata, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 43, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Ashburton Electric-power District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

ASHBURTON ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Ashburton Electric-power District was taken on the 27th day of July, 1922, on the proposal of the Ashburton Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of two hundred and ninety-six thousand five hundred pounds—
(1.) For the purchase of the Ashburton Borough Council’s generating plant, lands, buildings, and machinery, and the transmission-lines and plant of the Ashburton Electric Supply Company (Limited), and all additions and alterations thereto;
(2.) For the construction of electric works as defined by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, by the Board within the district, pursuant to the powers vested in the Board by the said Act and the amendments thereof.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,607, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 100.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 18th day of August, 1922.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Papakura Town District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

Result of Poll to raise £10,000.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Papakura Town District was taken on the 26th day of July, 1922, on the proposal of the Papakura Town Board to borrow the sum of (£10,000) ten thousand pounds for the completion of the Papakura water-supply.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 163, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 12.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated at Papakura this 27th day of July, 1922.
