Amendment to Regulations governing the Award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations governing the award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two; and I do hereby declare that the amendment hereby made shall come into force as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES, 1913.—APPENDIX IX.

Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration.

SUBPARAGRAPH (12) is hereby revoked, and the following substituted :—

“(12.) Applications for the decoration shall be made on N.Z. Army Form No. 76E; and will be forwarded through the usual channel to General Headquarters. The Minister of Defence will recommend to the Governor-General for approval the applications of those officers who have qualified for the award. Where officers have served part of the necessary qualifying service in the Auxiliary Forces of the Empire, other than those of New Zealand, proof of such service, in the form of certified true copies of certificates or other documents, must accompany the application.”

Roy Valentine McKenzie, Esq., of Kerang, in the State of Victoria, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Robert Stout, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Victoria, under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
