Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of
the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Christchurch-Lyttelton
Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Christchurch-
Lyttelton Branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take
further land at Christchurch, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by
sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 16 perches.
Portion of Lot 6, D.P. 1416 of R.S. 176, City of Christ-
church. (S.O. 1817, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 30968,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
lington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 1st day of August, 1922.

Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended

under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in con-
nection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart
for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation
in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the aforesaid Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto
as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—TAHORA BLOCK.

SECTIONS 1, Block XIV, and 2, Block XV, Moanui Survey
District, and Sections 1 and 2, Block II, 1 and 2, Block VI,
and 1, Block VII, Koranga Survey District: Total area,
18,603 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 5th day of August 1922.

Crown Lands set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease
to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the
Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of Crown lands
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are
hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of
sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures,
in the manner provided in the said Act.
