Crown Land set apart for Selection by Discharged Soldiers,
under Ordinary Tenures, in the Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is
hereby set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, under
the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—GREY COUNTY.—NATIONAL
ENDOWMENT.

SECTION 3235, Block XII, Mawheranui Survey District:
Area, 111 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1922.

Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rush-
worth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in
Hokonui Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a
road:—

particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19454,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 1971, and thereon coloured
as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 15th day of July, 1922.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended
under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in con-
nection with any block of land, unless that block is set
apart for selection under that section pursuant to Procla-
mation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the aforesaid Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule
hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WAIPU No. 2 BLOCK.

SECTIONS 2, 3, and 4, Block III, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6,
Block VI, Waipu Survey District: Total area, 2,345 acres
1 rood 16 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 14th day of July, 1922.

Declaring Crown Land in Westland and Karamea Mining
Districts, Westland Land District, open for Disposal on
Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of
the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-
General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any
Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease
or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled,
to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred
and thirty-five of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by
the one hundred and thirty-third section of the said Act, and
of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Monday,
the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-two, for disposal as provided in section one hun-
dred and thirty-five of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.—SECOND-CLASS
LAND.

Westland County.—Karangarua Survey District.

SECTION 2430, Block V; Area, 505 acres; capital value,
£710; half-yearly rent, £14 4s.

Weighted with £21, valuation for fencing.

Comprises about 60 acres fairly dry creek frontage and
45 acres hill sidling covered with bush and heavy scrub, the
remainder being flat wet swamp. Soil is of a sandy nature
on gravel, generally poor, but fair along creeks and on sidling.
Altitude, 45 ft. to 225 ft. above sea-level. Well watered.
Access three-quarters of a mile by unformed road, thirteen
miles and a half by formed dray-road, and three miles and a
half by sea-beach from Bruce Bay boat-landing.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1922.

Soldiers, under Ordinary Tenures, in the Canterbury Land
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged
Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the fourteenth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and
published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty, setting apart Crown
land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land
Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.—NATIONAL
ENDOWMENT.

RUN 115A, Clent Hills, Heron, Somers, and Alford Survey
Districts: Area, 30,100 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 14th day of July, 1922.
