OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.

PURSUANT to section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Otamatea taken on the 6th day of May, 1922, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said county be on the unimproved value, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 505, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 312.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, DONG CHAN WAI, heretofore called and known by the name of Dong Chan Wai otherwise known as George Sang, lately of Taumarunui but now of Pukekohe, in the Auckland District, in the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby give public notice that on the 23rd day of May, 1922, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said name Dong Chan Wai otherwise known as George Sang, and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Dong Chan Wai instead of the said name of Dong Chan Wai otherwise known as George Sang.
And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 23rd day of May, 1922, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the Auckland District on the 26th day of May, 1922, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said name of Dong Chan Wai otherwise known as George Sang, and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Dong Chan Wai instead of Dong Chan Wai otherwise known as George Sang, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of DONG CHAN WAI exclusively.

THE NEW ZEALAND OIL AND ACID EXTRACTION COMPANY (LIMITED).

RESOLUTION FOR WINDING-UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and the NEW ZEALAND OIL AND ACID EXTRACTION COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above company duly convened and held at the Opera House, Palmerston North, on Monday, 22nd May, 1922, the following extraordinary resolutions were duly passed, viz.:
(1.) That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that this company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is desirable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.
(2.) That Mr. JOHN WILLIAM WHITTAKER, Public Accountant, of Palmerston North, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of Directors held on Monday, 22nd May, 1922, the following resolution was passed:
“ That the Mutual Benefit Building and Investment Society of Canterbury, Permanent, will not take advantage of the provisions of Part II of the Mortgages and Deposits Extension Act, 1921.”

JAMES, Perry Street, Masterton, on Wednesday, the 7th June, 1922, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.
