MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mount Roskill Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest on a loan of £1,800, being a ten-per-cent. additional loan to one of £18,000 authorized to be raised under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for roading purposes, the said £1,800 being duly required to complete the roading-works, the said Mount Roskill Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate as security therefor, of 3/64ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mount Roskill Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of March and the 15th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MANAIA SPECIAL LOAN AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on an additional loan of £900 (being 10 per cent. of the original loan of £9,000), authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the construction of the Whangarei to Whangarei Heads Road, in the Riding of Manaia, in the County of Whangarei, the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Manaia Special Rating Area, such boundaries of the said special rating area being described on pages 3023 and 3024 of New Zealand Gazette of 25th September, 1919

(No. 116); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that any Partnership relationship which was or may have been subsisting between WILLIAM JAMES SCOTT and HUTTON EWAN TROUTBECK in a Farming and Stock-dealing business at Rotorua has been absolutely dissolved and put an end to by the said persons as from the first day of December, 1921. All the assets of the said business at the said date have been taken over, and all liabilities thereof then subsisting have been assumed, by the said HUTTON EWAN TROUTBECK.

CITY OF AUCKLAND.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a reserve for a public library and reading-room, and that a plan of that part of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, Queen Street, Auckland, and may be inspected there (without fee) during office hours; and further notice is hereby given that unless within forty days from the nineteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, any written objection to the taking of such land is sent to the Town Clerk, Auckland City Council, the said Auckland City Council shall proceed to take the said land for such work.
