MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also the other charges on a supplementary loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Town Board for the purpose of completing two workers’ homes in the Manurewa Town District, the said Manurewa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninetieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Manurewa Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Ohura County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Ohura County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of reforming, culverting, and metalling the main Ohura Road from the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block IV, Ohura S.D., to the south-western corner of Section 14, Block III, Ohura S.D., the said Ohura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny one farthing (1¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Matiere Special Rating District, comprising the following area: Starting at the mouth of the Mangamarie Stream, and following in a northerly direction by the said Mangamarie Stream and the western boundaries of Sections 3G Sec. 3, 3G Sec. 4, to the south-eastern corner of Section 3C; thence in a westerly direction by the said Section 3C to the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block XV, Aria S.D.; thence in a southerly direction by the said Section 16, Block XV, Aria S.D., to the Ohura-Mokau Road; thence by the said Ohura-Mokau Road to the Ohura River; thence in a southerly direction by the said Ohura River to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block XV, Aria S.D., to the Ohura Road; thence in a northerly direction by the said Ohura Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 14, Block III, Ohura S.D.; thence in a south-easterly direction by Sections 14, 10, and 9 to Pukerewa Trig. Station; thence by Section 2, Block IV, Ohura S.D., to the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block IV, Ohura S.D.; thence due north by Section 6, Block IV, Ohura S.D., to the Ohura River; thence north by the said Ohura River to the Mangamarie Stream, the place of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the fourteenth day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the contribution towards the cost of the construction of a bridge over the Waipa River at Whatawhata, ordered to be paid by the Hamilton Borough Council by a Warrant of His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand dated 6th February, 1922, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-eighth part of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Borough of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of not exceeding thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council held on Wednesday, 3rd May, 1922.

THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Monday, the 12th day of June, 1922, to the election of one duly registered pharmaceutical chemist to serve as a member of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand in the place of Peter Mitchell Mackay, deceased, such member to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the district of Auckland, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki.

Candidates must be nominated in manner provided by the regulations under the Pharmacy Act, 1908, on or before Saturday, the 27th day of May, 1922, nominations closing at 4 p.m. on the said date at the office of the Registrar, Box 170, Wellington, and nomination forms being obtainable from the Registrar or any of the Deputy Registrars.
