GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

The Waikopiro Block, containing 1,788 acres, is divided into five holdings, varying in areas from 200 to 500 acres, and is situated in Blocks X and XI, Takapau Survey District, three miles to the eastward of the railway-station at Ormondville. The western portion of the block was originally bush, which has been felled, burnt, and sown in English grasses. Logs and stumps still on the ground are valuable as firewood. The balance of the area to be offered comprises scrub and fern country, with patches of native and exotic grasses. The altitude of the block is from 750 ft. to 1,550 ft. above sea-level, and the country generally consists of easy limestone and papa hills, a good percentage of which is ploughable. There is a good homestead-site on each section, and the block is well watered by the Manawatu River, Waikopiro and Maungapurakau Streams; there are also springs on each of the sections with the exception of Section 2, Block XI, Takapau Survey District.

Whetakura Village is about one mile distant from the nearest section.

IMPROVEMENTS.

The improvements which go with the land and are included in the capital value of the sections comprise fencing and whare as follows: Section 64, £81; Section 65, £66; Section 66, £84; Section 67, £94 (includes whare); Section 2, £50.

Sale posters and full particulars may be obtained at this office.
