VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of CRYSTAL PALACE (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that special resolutions within the meaning of section 91 of the above-mentioned Act were duly passed at a meeting of the above-named company held on the 27th day of March, 1922, and confirmed at a meeting of the above-named company held on the 12th day of April, 1922, as follows:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

“That THOMAS NEWBURGH be appointed Liquidator.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned JOHN SCOTT and ROBERT SCOTT, carrying on business as Plumbers, &c., at Dunedin under the style or firm of “J. and R. Scott,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirty-first day of July, 1921.

All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received or paid by the said JOHN SCOTT, who will continue the said business under the present style or firm of “J. and R. Scott.”

OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Otaki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Otaki Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for installation of waterworks, the said Otaki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of a halfpenny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the borough, comprising the whole of the Borough of Otaki; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairoa Borough Council Hydro-electric Scheme Loan of £9,000, 1922, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out electrical works in connection with the Waikaremoana Hydro-electric Scheme, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of August during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

ANTECEDENT LIABILITY LOAN, 1922, OF £25,000.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and any other Act enabling it in that behalf, the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £25,000, authorized to be raised by the said Gisborne Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, towards paying off the antecedent liability as provided for in the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 15/64ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Gisborne as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 5, of the 17th January, 1918, folio 162; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of May and the 15th day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON THE TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF APRIL, 1922.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £75 (being 10 per cent. on an original loan of £750), authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the metalling of Twistleton’s Hill Road, the said Cook County Council
