His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 41 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, been pleased to make the following appointments:-
The CHAIRMAN, PLEASANT POINT TOWN BOARD, ex officio,
to be a member of the Pleasant Point Domain Board, in place of Arthur John Wicks, left the district.
THOMAS HAWORTH
to be a member of the Makaka Domain Board, in place of Albert Victor Corkill, left the district.
GEORGE FREDERICK MORRISON
to be a member of the Wai-iti Domain Board, in place of Ivanhoe Tunnicliffe, resigned.

to be a member of the Mangere Domain Board, in place of John Edward Taylor, deceased.

have been duly elected the Board of Trustees for the Te Mania Rabbit-proof Fencing District as constituted under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of (1) Bootssellers', (2) Chemists', (3) Coachbuilders', (4) Drapers', (5) Furnishers', (6) Grocers', (7) Ironmongers', (8) Milliners', (9) Saddlers', (10) Stationers', and (11) Tailors' Shops in the Town District of Waiuku, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) bootseller, (2) chemist, (3) coachbuilder, (4) draper, (5) furnisher, (6) grocer, (7) ironmonger, (8) milliner, (9) saddler, (10) stationer, and (11) tailor within the Town District of Waiuku, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the town district be closed in the evening of working-days as follows : On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 5 p.m., and on Fridays at 8 p.m., with the exception that in the evening of the working-day that first precedes Good Friday, in the evening of the working-day that first precedes Christmas Day, and in the evening of the working-day that first precedes New Year's Day there shall be no fixed closing-hour:
And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) bootseller, (2) chemist, (3) coachbuilder, (4) draper, (5) furnisher, (6) grocer, (7) ironmonger, (8) milliner, (9) saddler, (10) stationer, and (11) tailor in the Town District of Waiuku:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that on and after the 4th day of May, 1922, all the shops in each of the trades of (1) bootseller, (2) chemist, (3) coachbuilder, (4) draper, (5) furnisher, (6) grocer, (7) ironmonger, (8) milliner, (9) saddler, (10) stationer, and (11) tailor in the Town District of Waiuku shall be closed accordingly.
The notices gazetted on the 11th July, 1918, and the 13th February, 1919, fixing the closing-hours of all shops and chemists' shops respectively in the Town District of Waiuku are hereby cancelled, in so far as they relate to the shops affected by this notice, as from the date of coming into operation of this notice.
