Greeting.
In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1917, as amended by section fourteen of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–1922, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf me enabling, I, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby appoint you the said EVERETT OLIVE HALES to be an Assistant Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, with all the powers, privileges, and duties appertaining thereto, to hold office during the pleasure of the Governor-General in Council.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of February, 1922.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed to classify and report upon runs in the Marlborough Land District have classified the pastoral run in the Schedule hereto as therein noted, and the classification has been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General, under section 225 of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
Class A.—Crown Land.
Being Land suitable exclusively for Pasturage, and not capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.

Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 5th April, 1922.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for a term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, the 6th day of April, 1922, at 10 o’clock a.m.; but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

The Te Reinga Block of 1,599 acres is situated in the Wairoa County, and is distant from Wairoa twenty-two miles by a dray-road, metalled for the greater portion. The East Coast Railway, when completed, will pass close to the eastern side of the block. Access is by the Ruakituri Valley Road, with good fords across the Ruakituri River.
The block has an altitude from 200 ft. to 1,380 ft., and is comprised principally of easy to steep ridges covered with light bush, scrub, and fern, and is suitable for pastoral purposes.
The soil is of pumicy loam on papa, and there are a few acres of river-flat around suitable for homestead-sites, also small ploughable areas in each section and patches of fair pasture.
The block has a good water-supply.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned lots of milling-timber will close at the office of the Conservator of State Forests, Hokitika, at 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, the 29th day of March, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
Lot 1.—All the milling-timber on that parcel of land, containing approximately 178 acres, situated in Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1616, Block IV, Kanieri Survey District, and Block I, Turiwhate Survey District.
The estimated quantity of milling-timber in superficial feet is 1,629,000, being totara 4,700, rimu 1,610,300, and miro 14,000.
Upset price, £1,223.
Term, three years from date of sale.
Terms of Payment.—One-fifth of the purchase-money, together with £1 1s. license fee and £40 for appraisement and survey fees, must accompany the tender, and the balance be paid by four equal instalments in six, twelve, eighteen, and twenty-four months from the date of sale.
Lot 2.—All the milling-timber on that part of Reserve No. 208, containing approximately 381 acres, situated in Block XII, Mahinapua Survey District.
The estimated quantity of milling-timber in superficial feet is 3,000,000, being rimu 2,865,000, kahikatea 100,000, and miro 35,000.
Upset price, £3,000.
Term, five years from date of sale.
