The New Electoral Districts for the South Island.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the South Island Representation Commission, appointed under the provisions of the Legislature Act, 1908, have made their report to me under their hands and seals, setting forth the names and boundaries of the electoral districts for the South Island fixed by them in accordance with the Legislature Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the twenty-second section of the Legislature Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the names and boundaries of the electoral districts for the South Island, so fixed by the said Commission, to be those respectively mentioned and set out in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- NELSON.
This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by the ocean from the northernmost end of Section 20, Block VIII, Motueka Survey District, to Francis Head; thence bounded towards the north-east generally by the said ocean to the northernmost corner of Section 4, Block IV, Gore Survey District, at Allen Strait; thence bounded towards the south-east generally by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 1 of the said Block IV; thence by the western boundary of the said Section 1 and south-western boundary of Section 6 of the aforesaid Block IV to and along the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block III, to and along the south-western and southern boundaries of Section 53, Block VIII, to and along the western boundary of Section 50A, to and along the eastern boundary of the Reserve for the Growth and Preservation of Timber to the northern boundary of Section 54, Block VII; thence by the northern boundary of the said Section 54 and its production to and along the western boundary of Section 49 of the said Block VII (Landless Natives' Reserve), to and along the eastern boundary of Section 19, Block VI, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 20 of the said Block VI; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 20, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 23 and north-western boundary of Section 30, both of the said Block VI, all of the said Gore Survey District, to and along the north-western boundary of the Ruakaha Native Reserve, Block II, Arapawa Survey District, to and along the southern boundary of Section 23, Block I, to and along the southern boundary of Section 7, the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 6, the south-eastern boundary of Section 1, all of the said Block I of the said Arapawa Survey District, to and along the southern boundaries of Sections 93, 101, 22A, and 92, Block IV, Linkwater Survey District, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 91, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 20, to and along the southern boundary of Section 90, all of the said Block IV, to and along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 14, Block III, to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 6, 5, and 4, Block VII, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 2 and 64, Block VI, to Mahau Sound; thence by a right line through the said Mahau Sound to Watanihi Point; thence by the watershed to Trig. Stations AA and E; thence by the summit of the Examiner Ridge to McLaren's Peak; thence by the summit of the range to and over Editor Peak, Mount Duppa, and Saddle Hill to the source of the Hereinga Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Pelorus River; thence by that river to the southern boundary of the Stoke Road District at the southern boundary of Square 18; thence by a right line running due west to its intersection with a right line bearing south 45Β° west from a point about two miles distant from the north-eastern corner of Section 18, Suburban South, and in line with the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 18; thence along a right line bearing south 45Β° west to the River Lee; thence by that river to its confluence with the Roding River; thence by that river to its confluence with the Wairoa River; thence by that river to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 16, on the left bank of the said river, in Block XIII, Waimea Survey District; thence by that road, Pig Valley Road, the road passing through Wairoa Gorge, and the Church Valley Road to the junction of roads intersecting Section 40, Block XVI, Wai-iti Survey District; thence by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 2 of 2, and 79A, and intersecting Original Sections 79 and 85, to its intersection with the Nelson-Tadmor Railway line; thence in a south-western direction by the said railway-line to the left bank of the Wai-iti River; thence in a north-easterly direction by the said left bank of the said Wai-iti River to the road
forming the south-western boundary of Section 154, Block XV, of the said Wai-iti Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction by that road, Trass's Valley Road, and the road forming part of the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Sections 1 and 2, Block X, of the said survey district, to and along the eastern boundary of Section 34 to Stanleybrook-Wakefield Road; thence by that road to and along the eastern boundary of Section 8, to and along the eastern boundary of Section 10, and south-eastern boundary of Section 17, all of Block X of the aforesaid survey district, to and along the southern boundary of Section 33, the southern and eastern boundary of Section 34, Block XI, to and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 16 and 9, the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 8, all of Block VII, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 213, to and along the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 6 (F.R.) and south-eastern boundary of Section 29, all of the said Block VII, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 28 and 27 of the said Block VII, to and along the southern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII, to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 10, to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 2 and eastern boundary of Section 3, all of the said Block VIII, to and along the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 6, to and along the eastern boundary of Section 9, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, all of the said Block IV, to and along the Nelson-Motueka Coach Road, to and along the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 3 of the aforesaid Block IV, all of the aforesaid Wai-iti Survey District, to and along the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 47 and 62, Block XVI, Motueka Survey District, to and along the road forming the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 31, intersecting Section 159 and forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 24 and 24A, all of the said Block XVI, to and along the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 83, 83A, and 96A, Block XII, to and along the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 95A, 60, 58, and 101, all of the said Block XII, Motueka Survey District, to and along the south-western, south-eastern, and north-eastern shores of the Moutere Mud Flat to the ocean at the northernmost end of Section 20, Block VIII, of the aforesaid Motueka Survey District, the place of commencement: including D'Urville, Stephen, Rangitoto, Trio, Maud, Forsyth, Chetwode, Rabbit, Saxtons, Oyster, Pepin, Fifeshire, and adjacent islands.
- MOTUEKA.
This district is bounded towards the west, north-west, and north-east generally by the ocean from the mouth of the Mokohinui River to the northernmost end of Section 20, Block VIII, Motueka Survey District; thence by the Nelson Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the said northernmost end of the said Section 20 to the Pelorus River at the southern boundary of the Stoke Road District, at the southern boundary of Square 18; thence bounded towards the south-east generally by the said Pelorus River to its source near Red Hills; thence to and along the summit of the range over the said Red Hills, Mount Rintoul, and Bush Cone to the summit of Ward's Pass, and along a right line to Trig. Station Top 2 (Mangatawai); thence along the summit of the St. Arnaud Range and the summit of the Spenser Mountains to the summit of the southern watershed of the Maruia River; thence bounded towards the south-west generally by the said summit of the southern watershed of the said Maruia River to Mount Haast; thence in a north-easterly direction by the summit of the Victoria Range to the source of the Inangahua River; thence by that river to the south-eastern corner of Section 195, Block XIV, Reefton Survey District; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 185, Block XIII, of the said Reefton Survey District; thence by the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Section 185 to its westernmost corner; thence by a right line to the summit of the watershed between the Little Grey and Inangahua Rivers; thence bounded towards the west generally by the summit of the said watershed to its intersection with a right line from Mount Faraday to the confluence of the Waitahu and Inangahua Rivers; thence by a right line to the confluence of the said rivers; thence by the Waitahu River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 60, Block X, Reefton Survey District; thence by a right line to and along the eastern boundary of the said Section 60 to its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line due east to its intersection with Boatman's Creek; thence by that creek to the south-eastern boundary of Section 243, Blocks X and XI, of the said Reefton Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 243 to and along the road intersecting the aforesaid Section 243 and intersecting Sections 242 and 241, to and along the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 2 of Block VI, to and along the road forming the north-western boundary of Section 177, Block VI, of the aforesaid Reefton Survey District, to and
