JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, and section sixty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Nelson, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified in the said Schedule.

anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the bridge known as the Puti Bridge, together with the approaches thereto, as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Kawhia County Council; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, I do hereby fix and determine that the cost of maintaining, repairing, improving, or reconstructing the said bridge and approaches shall be borne by the Kawhia County Council.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge, situated in the Auckland Land District, Kawhia County, known as the Puti Bridge, over an arm of the Kawhia Harbour usually known as Puti Creek, on the Kawhia-Oparau Road, near the south-western corner of Mangaora Block, Block VI, Kawhia North Survey District, together with the approaches thereto, being a length of one chain on the eastern side and two chains on the western side of the said bridge. As the site of the said bridge and approaches is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 53398, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of December, 1921.

Warrant vesting Control of the Puti Bridge and Approaches in the Kawhia County Council, and apportioning the Cost of maintaining Same.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1 of a subdivision of Kohokohu Reclamation, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District. (Auckland plan No. 21049, blue.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 perches, more or less, being Lot B shown on plan No. 643 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, Auckland, and being portion of land known as Kohukohu, situated on the Hokianga River.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of December, 1921.
