OPUNAKE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Opunake Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Opunake
Town Board Electric Lighting Supplementary Loan of
£700, 1922, authorized to be raised by the said Board, under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing
works, electric lines, and supplying light and power to
consumers (being 10 per cent. additional of the Opunake
Town Board Electric Lighting Loan £7,000, 1920, such
latter amount being insufficient to complete the works for
which such loan was raised), the said Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (£d.) in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in the Opunake Town
District; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and
one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Dated at Opunake this 19th day of December, 1921.
C. A. TROTTER, Chairman.
A. O'BRIEN, Town Clerk.
