with the Manawatu River, thence following the Manawatu River to Palmerston North, thence along the railway-line to Paekakariki, thence southward to the sea at Petone, thence along the coast to the point of commencement at the Onoke Lake.
Also all that area within a line commencing at the mouth of the Kawhatau River, thence eastward to the Pourangaki River, thence following the Pourangaki River eastward to the summit of the Ruahine Ranges, thence northward to Motopuha, thence westward to Te Rotoiti, thence southward to Moawhango, thence to the point of commencement at the mouth of the Kawhatau River.
Areas excluded therefrom.
The area within a line commencing at the junction of the railway-line with the Otaki River, thence following up the river to a point opposite Mount Crawford on the Tararua Ranges, thence in a direct line to Mount Crawford, thence north to Mount Dundas, thence north to Mount Te Paki, thence eastward to the Mangahao River, thence following the Mangahao River to its junction with the Manawatu River, thence following the Manawatu River to Palmerston North, thence following the railway-line to the point of commencement at the junction of the railway-line with the Otaki River.
All that piece of land containing 500 acres, being Section 16, Block I, Akatarawa Survey District, which land is shown as an acclimatization reserve on the provisional plan of the Hutt County in the Crown Lands Office at Wellington.
Also all that piece of land containing 6,500 acres, being parts of Blocks VIII, IX, X, and XVII, Rimutaka Survey District, and shown on the Crown Lands provisional map of the Hutt County as a timber and water reserve (the said land being the catchment area for the Wellington City Council’s reservoir situated at Wainuiomata).

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Marlborough.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Marlborough Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Nelson, Marlborough, and Canterbury Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at Mount Humboldt in the Spenser Mountains, and proceeding thence north-easterly along that range and the St. Arnaud Range to the Waimea County; thence following the south-eastern boundary of the said Waimea County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 4194, to the shore of Croisilles Harbour; thence following the sea-coast generally easterly and southerly to the mouth of the Conway River, and up that river to its source at Palmer Saddle; thence along a right line to Barefell Pass and a right line westerly to Mount Humboldt, the point of commencement: including therein D’Urville Island and all islands adjacent to the coast; and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags and fallow-deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Marlborough Acclimatization District from the 23rd day of February, 1921, to the 30th day of April, 1921 (both days inclusive).

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Blenheim, and the Postmaster at Havelock, on payment of a license fee of £1, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than six red-deer stags or fallow-deer bucks, and no red-deer stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than eight points.

No doe, hind, or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Regulations as to deer “tags,” per New Zealand Gazette No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the secretary of the Marlborough Acclimatization Society, Blenheim, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Westland Acclimatization District, exclusive of all sanctuaries, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags may be taken or killed in that part of the Westland Acclimatization District known as the Kokatahi and Arahura Districts, from the 1st day of April, 1921, to the 20th day of May, 1921 (both days inclusive).
