The national-endowment rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, at the rental specified in the said Schedule, and shall be deemed to be heavy-bush land.
After the first half-year’s rent has been paid by the selector the further instalments of rent payable by him for a period of four years shall not be demanded; provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount of rent previously conceded to the selector, as the Board thinks fit.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.
Waimea County.—Waimea Survey District.
Exempt from Rent for Four Years.—Heavy-bush Land.
SECTION 1, Block XVI: Area, 675 acres; capital value, £550; half-yearly rent, £11.
Weighted with £15 15s., valuation for improvements consisting of felling and grassing 7 acres.
Situated in Aniseed Valley, on Hachett Stream branch. Access from Hope Railway-station, about twelve miles distant—by formed road for about eight miles, thence pack-track in poor repair. The section comprises broken spurs, about 400 acres being birch bush, balance manuka scrub. Soil poor, portion being in mineral belt: well watered. General quality poor. Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level.
