HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Territorial Force.

3RD (AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major H. Jolly is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class 1 (b). Dated 26th August, 1921.
Lieutenant S. C. Reid, M.C., from the 4th (Waikato) Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 6th September, 1920. Dated 24th August, 1921.

4TH (WAIKATO) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant S. C. Reid, M.C., is transferred to the 3rd (Auckland) Mounted Rifles. Dated 24th August, 1921.

8TH (NELSON) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Francis Charles Hammond to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 23rd August, 1921.
Errol Reid to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). Dated 23rd August, 1921.

9TH (NORTH AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant H. R. Hatrick, from the Reserve of Officers (General List), to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 2nd July, 1920. Dated 22nd July, 1921.

N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant A. A. Dignan is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class 1 (b). Dated 22nd August, 1921.
Ernest Charles Rhind Anderson to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), (19th Battery). Dated 18th July, 1921.

N.Z. RAILWAY BATTALIONS.
Captain [Lieutenant-Colonel, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] W. O. Ennis is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class 1 (b), with rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 19th August, 1921.

N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Auckland Regiment.
Lieutenant B. L. Dignan, D.C.M., from the Reserve of Officers (General List), to be Lieutenant (2nd Battalion). Dated 1st July, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant V. M. Ross to be Lieutenant. (C.) Dated 22nd August, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) A. E. Brendon, from the Unattached List (b), to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). (C.) Dated 1st July, 1921.

The Wellington Regiment.
Lieutenant W. R. E. Halley is transferred to the Canterbury Regiment. Dated 19th August, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant D. T. Evans, from the N.Z. Rifle Brigade (Earl of Liverpool's Own), to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 30th April, 1918. (C.) Dated 22nd August, 1921.
Major R. D. Hardie, D.S.O., Reserve of Officers, is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of General Headquarters Instructions No. 56, of 30th April, 1921. Dated 22nd August, 1921.
Major J. Osborne-Lilly is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 25th August, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant J. W. Ellis, M.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class 1 (b). Dated 25th August, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant E. H. W. Rowntree resigns his commission. Dated 20th August, 1921.

The Canterbury Regiment.
