A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

Resuming Land for Forest-plantation Purposes in Crookston Survey District, Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part VI of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is held under pastoral license from His Majesty the King, issued under Part VI of the Land Act, 1892, dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for forest plantation:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being the land held under pastoral license as aforesaid.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 32 acres 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, being Section 4, Block X, Crookston Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-east corner of Section 1, Block X, Crookston Survey District; thence towards the north generally by a public road, 123° 21′, 181·9 links, 90°, 504·6 links, 106° 21′ 30″, 1921 links; thence towards the east by Run 163A, 180°, 950·6 links; thence towards the south by said Run 163A, 270°, 2497·8 links; thence towards the west by Section 1, Block X, Crookston Survey District, 359° 56′ 30″, 1592 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of August, 1921.
