Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VI, Waihou Survey District, for the more Effective Carrying-out of the Drainage or other Works in the Hauraki Plains.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the more effective carrying-out of the drainage or other works authorized by the latter Act. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kerepehi, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice by the Public Trustee in pursuance of Section 89 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that John Dalton, late of Lower Hutt, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Farmer, is the owner of realty in New Zealand: And whereas from inquiries made it has been ascertained that the said John Dalton left New Zealand in January, 1921, without appointing any agent with authority to take possession of and administer his property: And whereas the present whereabouts of the said John Dalton are unknown: And whereas the Public Trustee applied to the Supreme Court for an order under section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, in respect of such property, and by an order made in the Supreme Court at Wellington on the 2nd day of August, 1921, the Public Trustee was authorized to exercise the following powers,--
(a.) To take possession of all that piece or parcel of land containing 24·9 perches, more or less, being part of Section 11, Hutt District, and being Lot 3 on deposited plan 2352, and the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 221, folio 157, being the property of the said John Dalton;
(b.) To sell the said land or any part thereof;
(c.) To pay the rates, taxes, and other outgoings payable in respect of the said land;
(d.) To execute in his own name and on behalf of the said John Dalton all deeds and other instruments which may be necessary for any of the purposes aforesaid;
(e.) To complete and carry out in such manner as the Public Trustee thinks fit the valid subsisting contract affecting such land—namely, the agreement for sale and purchase thereof dated the 1st day of July, 1920, whereby the said John Dalton agreed to sell the same to Ernest William McCardell, of Wellington, Cashier:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he proposes to exercise in respect of such property the powers conferred on him as above.
